David Adams is the Monday Night Song Leader at Lexhop. He also serves as an assistant in some of the administrative tasks at Lexhop. Adams has been a primary piece of Lexhop from the beginning.
Here's what Adams says about the Monday night set: "Monday night prayer at Lexhop is the love-on-Jesus night. We come for His presence and we come to glorify, love and magnify him. Encountering Him is always so sweet, and He moves every time whether we have as many as 20 or as few as four people. Experiencing the love of Jesus never gets old, nor should it be complicated. God's love is magnificently portrayed to us through Jesus. That glorious love is beautifully revealed in Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. And we don't earn that love. Romans 5:8 says "while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This means that God loved us even when we were far from perfect. The love of the Lord is a personal and intimate blessing and that's what we intentionally take time to absorb on Mondays at Lexhop."
More on David:
David Adams is from Irvine KY and currently resides there with his wife Patty and one of his sons. He has four kids: two boys and two girls. He also has six grandchildren: four boys and two girls. Adams considers himself to be a family man family and spends as much time with them as possible. Adams has more than 20 years of ministry experience. However, during the last few years, God has helped him to really hone in on his true gifts and callings. Adams leads the Monday night Worship set at Lexhop. Adams is also the Worship Pastor at River of Life Church in Lexington, KY.
Adams testimony stems from personal, formative ideations that started as early as six years old. Yes, even at that early age, Adams resolutely began to consider himself an atheist. He firmly doubted the existence of God, claiming their was no personal evidence of a loving, caring God. As a boy, Adams began sinking in the dark grip of pornography. Later on, his addiction expanded to include alcohol. As an adult, Adams felt overshadowed by a growing darkness that had seemingly beaten him down. Adams reached the proverbial "rock bottom" and was living a life of desolate brokenness. But that's when Jesus, the savior, came rushing to His side. And Adams was such a mess that He didn't resist. For the first time, He just welcomed the love of God. Jesus saved David Adams. The beginnings of this newfound relationship had blemishes and hiccups as Adams patiently allowed the Lord to transform him from the inside out. It was during the growing, new-believer time, that Adams recognized his singing voice was a gift from God. Adams decided to use music as a testimony/ministry of the incredible love and amazing grace that is only found in Jesus. God has patiently and diligently turned David Adams into the worshipper he is today.
